Hi, I am Bronwyn Steel and welcome to the Love Cats Cattery!

Named after my favourite song by The Cure and my fascination with cats and set up in late 2014.

Chris and I live in the country side just north of Levin, on 10 acres where Chris a farm contractor breeds horses and sheep, on what we believe is the perfect setting for your cats holiday, views to the Tararuas over farm land and lots of birds busy doing bird stuff.

I am a qualified Veterinary nurse with 20 years' experience, a profession that is incredibly satisfying and has allowed me to travel NZ, Australia and Britain to work in all manner of jobs, from shelters to universities and I have loved it.

My great love of course is cats they are amazing and fun and feisty and sometimes very quick! I love their individuality, independence and their ability to trick you into doing stuff.

We have 12 individual apartment style rooms Purpose built with your cats safety and sense of adventure in mind, all have an outside window seat or outside cage with views on to our land. NO communal living here- which helps stop stress and the spread of disease.

The rooms measure approx. 1.2m x 2.4 or 2m x2m with toys, shelving and bedding to make them interesting and secure. You are more than welcome to bring any bedding/toys/scratch posts that will make your cat feel even more at home.

OPENING HOURS are by arrangement - we are flexible and will try and accommodate your needs. We also offer a Pickup / Drop off service at a cost depending on travel.

Our cattery is near Levin, in a rural setting, within suitable driving distance from Wellington and Palmerston North.
